which mid-term rate should I use?

L1: which mid-term rate should I use?On theEstimated Interest Rate for IRC screen, the rate for month beginning 12/1/07, the mid-term rate was listed as 5.08% for the 2 month period of 1/1/08 through 2/29/08. The rate for month beginning 1/1/2008, the mid term rate is listed as 4.34% for the 2 month period of 2/1/08 through 3/31/08. If I plan to take my 1st payment on 2/1, I’m confused about which interest rate to use in my calculations?2007-12-03 18:12, By: krv, IP: [71.137.253.206]
L2: which mid-term rate should I use?Watch the rates on this page http://72t.net/InterestRates/RatesFor72t.aspx
The interest rate that may be used is any interest rate that is not more than 120 percent of the federal mid-term rate for either of the two months immediately preceding the month in which the distribution begins
The rate for January won”t be available until about the 20th of December. So the maximum would be 4.97% (December 2007), or if higher the rate forJanuary, 2008.

L2: which mid-term rate should I use?KRV,
To reinforce Gordon”s reply, do not use the ESTIMATED rates.. that is just a guess as to what may happen in the near term with future rates. You have to rely on the table ofactual rates that are posted on this site, and he gave you the link. KEN2007-12-04 09:52, By: Ken, IP: [151.199.53.195]
