Accounting Error

L1: Accounting ErrorI’ve been taking a 72t withdrawal for 4 years. This year there was an internal accounting error with the company which was handling my IRA’s and resulted in an error on my 1099R (it amounted to a -.00625% deficit in the yearly disdstribution). Without going into a lot of detail, it’s become all but impossible to get the 1099R corrected. Will this cause a problem with the IRS? 2002-02-27 04:53, By: mad_ike, IP: [127.0.0.1]
L2: RE: Accounting ErrorProbably not. The error that you are describing could be a rounding error and even the IRS understands those.Just make sure that the box is marked appropriately to reflect a penalty free distribution and all shuld be Ok.2002-02-27 05:43, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]
