Interest Rate

L1: Interest RateI know that Rev Rul 2002-62 says that the interest ratecan not bemore than 120 percent of the fed mid term rate. However, if I want to use a lower interest rate, to get the annual withdrawal amount I”m looking for, are there any restrictions or guidelines as to how low the interest rate can be? For example, can I use the fed mid term rate, instead of 120 percent of the fed mid term rate? Thank you.2007-01-12 07:56, By: kristine, IP: [69.242.136.14]
L2: Interest RateYou may use any rate less than 120% of the mid term rate. When I set up my SEPP I used a rate that produced a monthly value that was in nice round numbers.2007-01-12 08:34, By: John, IP: [71.208.232.16]

L2: Interest RateIf you have more funds available than you need to fund your distribution objective consider using the maximum are and moving the excess funds to a seperate IRA.
That way you have less tied up in the SEPP and maintain funds ouside the SEPP for emergencies or even to start another SEPP at a later date.2007-01-12 09:46, By: Gfw, IP: [74.136.109.63]
