L1: IRA Broker ChangeWouldchanging from one broker to another violate the terms of a 72(t) plan because it would be considered a termination of one IRA and the establishment of another (even assuming there were no funds added or subtracted during the conversion process)?
If this creates the problem mentioned above, is there a way to change brokers without it being considered a termination of one IRA and the establishment of another?2003-09-13 12:38, By: Wayne, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: IRA Broker ChangeChanging brokers (or changing investments in the same brokerage)is not equivalent to terminating an IRA and starting another.
You are merely changing the funding vehicle – you should have no problems, just make sure that you have a paper trail and that you don’t change any on the assumptions of the SEPP.2003-09-13 12:48, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]
