Not a surprise, and bad news for retirees wanting to invest conservatively.
However, the Fed cannot clearly determine the future nearly that far in advance and if inflation begins to accelerate much, they will be forced to change their policy, but intend to be more open with guidance in the future. In
other words, they would change their langauge first before actually increasing rates.
Economic forecasters only have a good batting average if you compare them to baseball batting averages.
