L1: Deposits After Establishing 72t… Does getting a interestpayment after starting a 72t bust the plan?2013-12-01 19:10, By: nessaf, IP: [108.97.179.44]
L2: Deposits After Establishing 72t… Not if it is interest from assets that were included in and are part of the SEPP plan.2013-12-01 19:52, By: Gfw, IP: [205.178.51.82]

L3: Deposits After Establishing 72t… No a carryover from 401k plan2013-12-01 20:02, By: nessaf, IP: [108.97.179.44]

L4: Deposits After Establishing 72t… If it wasn’t part of the plan on the date the oplan was started, it can’t be added later.2013-12-01 20:28, By: Gfw, IP: [205.178.51.82]

L5: Deposits After Establishing 72t… Is there any way tocircumvent this? I don’t want to bust the plan, if I have to at least this is the first year.2013-12-01 21:26, By: nessaf, IP: [108.97.179.44]

L6: Deposits After Establishing 72t… I sounds like you had “trailing dividends” which if added to your plan after the start date would bust the plan. Talk to the IRA Trustee and see if they will remove as an administrative error and credit to a different IRA account – if no, your plan would be busted.2013-12-01 22:26, By: gfw, IP: [205.178.51.82]

L7: Deposits After Establishing 72t… Thank you2013-12-01 23:01, By: nessaf, IP: [108.97.179.44]

L7: Deposits After Establishing 72t… Can someone clarify this “trailing dividends”. I think I could get into a similar situation. SEPP will be an IRA established from a 401K rollover.
Specifically, is there a way to ensure that I won’t run into this? ie sell all funds/stocks before rollover? Wait a full quarter after rollover so that all “ex-dividends” will settle. Forcefully prevent deposits into this account?2014-03-07 16:41, By: yukhateeee, IP: [70.114.142.108]
