SEPP after taking an initial distribution

L1: SEPP after taking an initial distributionCan I start a SEPP after I have initiated non-SEPP distributions from my TSP. I initiated distributions that were lower than calculated SEPP distributions because I need a lower amount. If in the future I see I need a higher amount, can I then begin SEPP distributions?2017-03-20 13:29, By: Gunny, IP: [107.190.204.13]
L2: SEPP after taking an initial distributionStarting a SEPP from a qualified employer plan is risky, especially so for the TSP which has all kinds of restrictions on your distributions. Did you separate from service in the year you reached 55 or later? If so, you can avoid a SEPP, but would still have to navigate the TSP distribution restrictions.2017-03-20 16:16, By: Alan S, IP: [174.126.90.174]
