Post Tax 1099

L1: Post Tax 1099Rolled my 401K into IRAs & started three separate SEPPs, Vanguard coded all three box 7 as 1, so I’ll be filing form 5329. Received two 1099s from my previous 401K plan, one for the rollover portion coded G box 7 and another for my post tax distribution & it’s coded 1 box 7. That money should have no taxes owed. What form would I use for that? Thanks2005-03-23 13:53, By: taxme, IP: [69.169.62.115]
L2: Post Tax 1099Was wondering the same thing, took out the after tax contribution of my 401K when I rolled it over, just got a 1099 for that amount and it has code #1, can’t find any code on the form that applies. Amount is tax exempt.2005-03-23 18:26, By: RandyD, IP: [69.169.62.115]

L2: Post Tax 1099I’m curious too… I rolled my 401K over from custodian A to custodian b into a ‘rollover IRA’ account… then a few months later transfered the rollover IRA back to custodian A, no changes or anything, just personal preference had changed, both transactions took place in 2004. Now I have a 1099R code 1 for the first transaction from custodian A, and a 1099R code 1 for the second transaction from custodian B. Since I took no distributions, the money is untouched throughout, do I need to file a 5329?
Thanks,
