L1: changessuppose after a few years in your 72t,,,that you have done very well investing the cash in your ira 72t account,,

L2: changesHello grendalin:
Generally speaking, you can not modify or change the distribution amount of an existing, running SEPP program before 5 yrs or age 59 1/2. However, there is an unexpected benefit in RR 2002-62 in that just about anyone can make the one-time election to switch to the RMD method at a time of their chosing. If you have been astute & I suppose lucky that your IRA balance is materially higher today than 3 – 4 years ago, it is mathematically possible to switch to the RMD method and actually compute a higher distribution.
