Client turns 59.5 1/25/06
annual 72t payments have been made 1/15 for last
6 years, is 2006 payment required?
also wanted to confirm if it was ok to switch to LE method in 2005
by rolling over excess within 60 days of distribution

L2: Final Annual Distribution TimingA 2006 distribution is not required; further NO other distribution can be made in the period 1/1/06 to 1/15/06.
Yes, you may switch to the RMD (or LE method as you call it) in 2005 & if necessary, rollover the excess above the RMD distribution; presumably caused by a larger distribution several days ago.
