Rounding of monthly distribution

L1: Rounding of monthly distributionThis is a new SEPP Plan. Date of birth: 8/14/56. First distribution: 1/8/2013
Question in reference from the SEPP Planning Pointers:
Don’t Round:
“…calculate annual SEPP amount, don’t round the result – use the exact amount to the penny”
SEPP Distribution Amount:
“…rounding may result in variance of $.50 from the amount which is OK.”
I have completed all the calculations and have an annual distribution of $28,381.16 exactly; however I would like convert the annual distribution to monthly, which when divided by 12 results to $2365.096667. If I round up to $2365.10, the annual amount results in $28,381.20. If I leave it at $2365.09, the annual result is $28,381.08. The difference is within the variance, but I want to be certain whether it’s best to round up or leave it less which results in more or less (not by much) than the annual distribution accuracy.
Does it matter to the IRS?
Thank you.2013-01-07 20:03, By: 3DPiper, IP: [76.116.82.130]

L2: Rounding of monthly distributionYou are fine either way with the IRS, but I would round to the nearest cent since that is closer to the exact amount. Use 2365.10.2013-01-07 22:39, By: Alan S., IP: [24.116.67.233]
