L1: 72(t)(q) minimum interest ratesWhat is the minimum interst rate that can be used in determining the applicable 72(t) interest rate? I have done research and all of the IRS rulings as well as this great site only refer to the maximum rate. 2009-06-10 19:45, By: Maverick, IP: [63.66.47.208]
L2: 72(t)(q) minimum interest ratesThe minimum rate would be anything lower than the maximum rate – try zero. It isn’t mentioned simply because there are better alternatives.
Indeed, using the minimum rate would most probably NOT be the best alternative. If you have an annual goal, use the reverse calculator and the maximum rate ans divide the IRA accordingly. 2009-06-10 19:54, By: Gfw, IP: [216.80.125.206]

L3: 72(t)(q) minimum interest ratesThank you. The reasonI am looking for a minimum is because I am trying to line the payment up with a GLWB distribution that will not blow the rider up. So I am limited by the amount that can be taken on the GLWB. This amount much match the 72(t) amount. 2009-06-10 19:58, By: Maverick, IP: [63.66.47.208]
