L1: 72t and Roth ConversionI have a Traditional IRA (I’ll call it my 72t IRA) that I have been taking penalty-free withdrawals from, using an approved method under the 72t rule. Can I establish a Roth IRA and do a partial conversion frommy “72t IRA” and continue to take the required withdrawals from the “72t IRA”. Any help would be appreciated. Can’t seem to find any IRS documentation that says I can do this.2004-05-26 20:06, By: mko, IP: [67.37.48.65]
L2: 72t and Roth ConversionThis is probably going to be classified as a ‘no, you can’t do that’ since it would constitute an illegalwithdrawal of the 72(t) assets. I’m sure Badger can give chapter and verse for your reference.
