transfer IRA from one investment to another during

L1: transfer IRA from one investment to another duringThanks in advance for your response. Can someone who is taking 72t payments transfer theirmoney from one investment to another (i.e. fixed annuity to a mutual fund) as long as they take the samepredetermined amount for the 5 year period? What if, at the same time there is a broker change? (client moved infrom another state) Or if the client wants to switch from annuity method to theRMD method and wants to change their investment too?
Thanks again.

L2: transfer IRA from one investment to another duringMy answer assumes that the funds are tax-qualified. In short the answer is Yes – the IRA is seperate from the investment and yes they can probably (early next year)make the change to the RMD method.
Any additional answers would require more details.
