L1: transfer fund from 401K to SEPP IRAI have been taking an equal, monthly periodic payment for 2 and 1/2 years from an IRA and will continue until the 5 year period is completed. Can I transfer some money from my 401K plan to this IRA? I retired 2 and 1/2 years ago and recently reached 59 1/2. I would like to transfer some money to this account so there would be no danger of running out. Again, there would be no change in the monthly periodic payment. Please e-mail the answer as well as post. Thank you. I haven’t seen this question addressed anywhere. 2002-02-11 09:10, By: rgw, IP: [127.0.0.1]
L2: RE: transfer fund from 401K to SEPP IRAI would place the new funds into a new account. Only the funds initially allocated to the plan can be used to meet the scheduled. payments.2002-02-11 10:02, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: RE: transfer fund from 401K to SEPP IRAI don’t understand why this transfer can not be done if the periodic payments stayed the same. SEPP was established based on the Annuity method. How would the IRS know?2002-02-11 14:55, By: rgw, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: RE: transfer fund from 401K to SEPP IRAWhen the plan was established, you made certain assumptions in building the plan. These assumptions were applied to a stated account balance to determine the plan.Once the plan is established, no additional funds may be added, just like no additional payments can be taken without busting the plan. You asked how the IRS would know… have you ever heard of a paper trail and an audit? You can do whatever you want, I was merely stating the proper method! 2002-02-11 18:03, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]
