L2: Another Question
Based on my previous email to you, you don’t need the IRA Tools program or PDF copies of reports.
The calculator on this site gives you the same results – merely print the calculator page that shows the beginning balance, the interest rate that you used and your attained age – then press ‘Calculate’. The annual withdrawal will be on the same page. For
further documentation, use the sample form to fully outline your plan.
Anything else is purely for show and explanation and will really hold no more weight in an audit. The IRA Tools program is designed to be used by a professional to explain the concept to their clients.
What you need to do is make sure that you maintain the proper documentation. A statement from your IRA Custodian/Trustee showing the balance used. The calculator summary sheet printed above and then the periodic statements from your account showing that
the actual withdrawals exactly match the calculated withdrawal amount.
