tax reporting vs syst payment

L1: tax reporting vs syst paymentI have a question that I continue to get conflicting answers on. According to an earlier post there are two schools of thought on the issue. While the question could be watered down between once an ses is started it can never be altered vs. as long as the yearly amount is satisfied, it does not matter the amount or frequency of the distributions. Does the 1099r need to show the yearly amount of the ses amount as having been met in the first year of the ses. In other words, a monthly ses started in feb or later in the year has less months to satisfy the first year of the rmd. If the ses is set up on monthly paymentsand the 1st year must show on the 1099r, then a one time distribution will be required to have the tax documentation shown. This is a potentially confusing issue, I hope I have explained it adequately.2003-01-28 18:53, By: rick, IP: [127.0.0.1]
