mid-term rates

L1: mid-term ratesFirst of all….I know there”s no way to predict the future….but do you think we are seeing a “long” trend toward lower mid-term rates? If so, I may need to set up a 72T earlier than planned. From looking at previous rate trends they have beenup and down in the last 18 mts, but nothing significant. Any insight would begreatly appreciated.

L2: mid-term ratesThere is no way to predict a long term trend for short term interest rates. The 120% Mid-Term AFR is based on the 3, 5, 7 and 10 year Treasury. All you have to do is look at this link http://72t.net/InterestRates/TreasuryRates.aspxand you”l see them up, down and in between.
We do a monthly estimate that thanks to “The Badger” is relatively close and for December the estimate about 5.04% – the current monthly trend is down. http://72t.net/InterestRates/Estimated72tRates.aspx
