retroactive annual distribution

L1: retroactive annual distributionIf I take a full 12-month SEPP payment in December 07 (first distribution), will I have to use the rate I would as if I were starting the plan in January 07, the rate I would for starting the plan in December 07, or can I do it at all?2007-01-10 21:03, By: rayray, IP: [66.27.174.162]
L2: retroactive annual distributionIf your first payment is in 12/07, then the interest rate used must be for either 10/07 or 11/07, so things could change considerably by then. However, you can take the full 2007 annual distribution if you want to even though you don”t start until December. You do not have to pro rate your first year distribution.
You can monitor the trend of interest rates on this site under the Interest Rate tab above. Therefore, if you saw rates were beginning to decline, you could take action with a prior months rate just before the reductions began to kick in.2007-01-11 16:36, By: Alan S., IP: [24.116.66.98]
