Recalculation

L1: RecalculationI”m not sure how to word this question, but I have heard that a person can recalculate their 72t if they use the exact method that was used in calculating the first year”s distribution. Is this correct? Thanks2006-09-15 21:39, By: bc, IP: [72.174.6.135]
L2: RecalculationYour question comes up frequently.
The answer is yes if ”recalculation” was part of the original plan that you adopted.
Can it be added after the plan is in existence? No.
If your SEPP is in it”s first year and you are administering your plan yourself, then no one would probably know.
With that said, if you are probably going to lose the code of ”2” on your 1099 if you change the withdrawal soyou better have good docs for what you are doing – the IRS may want to review.

L2: RecalculationHello bc:
I suggest you go to the homepage and select Index of Recent Articles & then select Post January 1, 2003 PLRs. There is substantial discussion there about annual recalculation. Then, I would scroll down through the message board looking for discussion threads on the same subject. This should give you a pretty good idea.
