IRA max distribution

L1: IRA max distributionIam sure this question has been asked many times however, I am new to this forum and I am also unsure as to whhether or not I am using the 72T calculators correctly. Maybe someone with more knowledge can assist.
My age is 53, spouse is 51. Our IRA is valued at $400,000. We would like to know what the maximum 72t distribution would be should we start our distributions now. Our understanding of the mortaly tables etc is limited.
Thanks

L2: IRA max distributionMerely enter your age and account balance in the calculator and make no other changes – look at the results – the payment will be around $22.9k.
However, if you truely have little understanding, you may want to seek some advice from your legal/tax counsel before putting your 400,000 at risk.
At least take some time and read through the information on this site – especially the FAQ section and Rev. Rul. 2002-62. As stated on our site… The best advice is to use this site to do estimates and become knowledgeable on the subject, then “Hire a Pro” to do the work.2003-10-24 04:47, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]
