mid term AFR for starting distribution

L1: mid term AFR for starting distributionI finally made the plunge and turned in my retirement notice. I had to give 40 days notice, so my 1st distribution will beJune the 1st. By taking the 1st distribution June the 1st, whatmonths can I choose to use the mid-term AFR rate? Let me say thanks for all your help for this and my previous posts.2003-03-30 06:38, By: bonusmon, IP: [127.0.0.1]
L2: mid term AFR for starting distributionHello bonusman:
Congradulations.
Based on a 6/1/03 first distribution, you may useup to 120% of the mid-term AFR published for the months of April & May.

L2: mid term AFR for starting distributionWith the AFR rates going down, is it possible for you to take your first distribution on May 31? That way you could use the AFR rates for March and April, with the March”s AFRrate being much higher than April”s AFR rate. My feeling is that May”s AFR will be even lower. Of course, using a higher AFR may not be a concern for you [it all depends on your own particular circumstances].
