Joint table for 72T calculations

L1: Joint table for 72T calculations Gfw and TheBadger,
Thank you for your previous answers. I am still working on the problem of joint annuitized method for 72T.
I will try tospecify myquestions more accurately.I would like to find out how to derive joint mortality rates from the single mortality rates? I assume if the joint mortality rate can be derived from the single mortality rates for the owner and the beneficiary then using the single case procedure with the joint mortality factor will produce the annual distribution accurately.

Thank you again
Vlad

L2: Joint table for 72T calculations You can calculate both the single and joint life expectancy factors from one mortality table. You can NOT calculate the joint life expectancy factors from the single life expectancy factors. This site doesn”t teach actuarial science. From my earlier post… I will suggest that for the formulas that convert the mortality table to life expectancy factors you should contact an actuary (which is what I originally did)who can work with you to get the exact numbers.
Will the actuary charge a fee? Most likely, but that is how they earn a living.2003-01-17 09:24, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: Joint table for 72T calculations Gfw,
Thank you for the reply. I don”t want to derive joint life expectancy factors from single life expectancy factors. What I wanted is to find out how to derive joint mortality rates from the single mortality rates. If such equation exists somewere why not to ask about it? I suspect it might be some probability formula.
Thank you
