Setting up a 72T

L1: Setting up a 72THello all,I’m 53 and have set aside $800,000 for a 72T account. I need 50K (gross) per year until I’m 59 1/2. I’m currently invested in a conservative bond fund that has a 10 year average return of 6.8% over 10 years (slightly lower these days). My first withdrawl would not be until 2002. My questions to the experts based on the above:Could the above plan be implemented with minimal impact on the principle investment (i.e. could I still have close to $800,000 at 59 1/2)?This site appears to offers excellent information on how to calculate and apply for a predetermination with the IRS. I feel like I could do this myself; however, if there is a mistake to be made… I’ll probably make it. Has anyone done this successfully and/or does anyone have any idea how much an accountant would charge to do this for me?Best regards,forced-to-retire-early2002-04-11 18:37, By: forced-to-retire-ear, IP: [127.0.0.1]
