I used your web site’s calculation Amortization methodand it reflected my Single Life Expectancy at 33.3 years. I found this same figureinIRS pub 590 IRA under Life Expectancy Tables. You could then change to the MD method in a later year if you want to reduce your distribution. But if you start with the MD method, you are stuck with it and it’s unpredictable annual distribution results.In addition, with a fixed dollar method you can partition your IRA into the amounts you need for your plan and create another IRA to be left out of your plan with the excess balance you do not need at this time. That other IRA can be used for emergency needs or to start a second SEPP at some later date.
