Mid-Term Rates

L1: Mid-Term RatesFirst of all I want to express my gratitude for this board in answering many questions on the 72 T process. I am planning to take early reteirement over the next few months (3 – 18)and take the euqal payments distribution on 2 Self-Directed IRA’s until age 591/2 as I am 54 years old at this time.
Following is my questions:
1) Do you expect with the recent interest rate increases for the Mid Term rateto increase and what would you guess estimate the % @ 120 of the Midtermto be in next few months?
2) I notice a PLR was submitted to get a ruling in using a higher interest rate, Does this mean that if a PLR gets approved for an individual others can act upon the same ruling? If the answer is Yes this would be very helpful as one of my IRA’s is with Investment Grade long term Bonds when rates where much higher.
Thank you very much.

L2: Mid-Term RatesQuestion #1 – This is an invesment question to which no one has the answer. If anyone could say with certainty that interest rates would rise or fall then would be the new “Oracle of Omaha” – it’s an educated guess at best – a question that should be directed to your invesment advisor.
Question #2 – A PLR is only good for the person to whom it is issued and even then, only if the facts submitted to the IRS in the ruling remain unchanged. Can an PLR issued to one person be relied upon by another – No! THis may be particularly ture until there are several PLRs issued on the same subject and the same approximate facts.
