L1: Mortality tableswhere can I find the 1983(a) and the up1984 mortality tables?Thanks…..2002-05-17 08:35, By: roland, IP: [127.0.0.1]
L2: Mortality tablesHello Roland:Which 1983 table do you want? There are four: GAM Female, GAM Male, Ind Female & Ind Male. Further, do you want an annuitant calculator or do you want the raw mortality table(s) so you can build your own?The above is partly in gest. Of the five tables (the four 1983 tables & UP-1984) all are available for a modest price from the Society of Actuaries, 475 North Martingale Road, Suite 800, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173.However, before you go out & send the Society money I would stop for a moment. Of the five; all of which are approved by the IRS, you really only need UP-1984; it is the most aggressive of the five; meaning people die the earliest thus translating into the lowest annuitant divisors; thus the highest annual distributions under 72(t)(2)(A)(iv) given the same interest rate & age. There are several accurate annuitant divisor programs including right here and www.retireearlyhomepage.com all of which are based on UP-1984. If you really want the raw mortality table I suggest you search the web for UP-1984 and it will pop up somewhere; if not, drop me a note & I will fax it to you.RegardsTheBadgerwjstecker@wispertel.net2002-05-17 20:20, By: TheBadger, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: Mortality tablesThanks for the reply Badger. After reading it, perhaps I don’t really need the table. I was under the impression that the table was a simple ‘enter on line A, go to Column B’ type table that would give me the annuity factor for the age and interest rate being used. The calculators I have been able to find seem to perform the calculation but the actual determination of the divisor is taking place in the background and not visible. I was able to find one in Xcel format……..don’t remember where it was now….that was the closest thing to showing me exactly how to arrive at the final figure. While I am interested, I certainly don’t have the ability nor inclination to design or develope my own table. Again, thanks.2002-05-18 08:26, By: roland, IP: [127.0.0.1]
