L1: SEPP Annual or MonthlyAre payments subject to SEPP based on calendar year or a 12 month period. Can I start SEPP’s in July, take a full year’s in six months and then take subsequent years during calendar years?2002-06-24 21:19, By: Dave, IP: [127.0.0.1]
L2: SEPP Annual or MonthlyIf you take an annual payment in July, you can take an annual payment NEXT July – if you take monthly payments – take 6 between July and December and then take 12 the next year.2002-06-24 21:21, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: SEPP Annual or MonthlyMy financial advisor says I can take a full years payment now and then switch to monthly next year. Should I expect a problem with IRS?2002-06-25 15:44, By: dave, IP: [127.0.0.1]

L2: SEPP Annual or MonthlyAll I can say is that I wouldn’t do it. And I have seen no PLRs that advocate what he/she is expressing – substantially equal hardly means an annual payment for 1/2 a year. And if I was going to depend on the advice of my “planner”, I would get the advice in writing with appropriate documentation and PLR/Code sites. That way if you follow his/her advice and have problems with the IRS, it will give you someone to go after.Just remember, an IRA is between you and the IRS.2002-06-25 15:58, By: Gfw, IP: [127.0.0.1]
