L1: when will the rates go up?I’m waiting to retire until the rates go back up to at least 4%… with any luck maybe by the middle of next year they will be on the increase. L2: when will the rates go up?All you can do is watch the trend in treasury rates – if they start going up, then the SEPP rate will increase. However, with the mid-term elections in 2010, they may stay relatively constant.

My guess, just like any guess, at future rates has a 50% chance of being right or wrong.
