L1: year turn 59 1/2, when to stop distributions
I started 72t in February 2000. Since 2004, I made the required distributions at the end of the year in November or December. I turn 59 1/2 on August 17, 2012. Do I still need to make a required distributions in 2012?

Based on the information in your post, for 2012 you have three choices…

Take the full annual distribution; or Take a pro-rated distribution for months 1 to 8; or Take no distribution since you will be age 59.5 on 08/17/2012 and the plan automatically terminates at age 59.5
